*a must watch for any maker, designer, musician, typography nerd* the making of john mayer’s ‘born to be raised’
Have a listen to the latest from some fellow T-bayers, now residing in Toronto. The songs called “Sharpshooter”. This acoustic version is particularly nice, as is most live recordings in my opinion. I can see this getting people on their feet in a hurry.
It seems to me, after viewing numerous Tiny Desk concerts from NPR, that the room itself can be particularly hard to make sound, well, good. Acoustically that is.
The Milk Carton Kids are bloody perfect here. So delicate. Not to mention the chops. Boy, the dude is playing in about 4 different styles all at once, all while providing a soothing ambiance making for a fantastic soundscape. I like.
This was a must-post from the minute I saw it. An amazingly well told story about a man who decided to recreate the poster that inspired some of the music of Sg. Pepper.
Fantastic. This was a live stream, with people providing comments to them in real time. Two ladies, a guitar, and some shakers. This dude has got some serious talent. Oh, and the songwriting… I like.
Awesome video from some friends of mine.
awesome guitar boat
So darned cute!
Came across this gem today. This was recorded in Stockholm, in 1969. They didn’t have much help in the way of enhancing their sound did they? Amazingly raw, dirty, gritty, & real. Seemingly low key in some ways too. It’s interesting to think that this was the same year as Woodstock.
This is one of my guitars. 1978 Gibson Les Paul Custom.
This post might only last a few days. The more I glance at this photo, the more I realize the injustice.
Maybe this is the beginning of some personal posts?
I’ve always liked seeing photos like these ones, I want to stumble on a huge pile of them.
