Tiny Desk Awesomeness || The Milk Carton Kids

It seems to me, after viewing numerous Tiny Desk concerts from NPR, that the room itself can be particularly hard to make sound, well, good. Acoustically that is.

The Milk Carton Kids are bloody perfect here. So delicate. Not to mention the chops. Boy, the dude is playing in about 4 different styles all at once, all while providing a soothing ambiance making for a fantastic soundscape. I like.

Raw as F*&%

Came across this gem today. This was recorded in Stockholm, in 1969. They didn’t have much help in the way of enhancing their sound did they? Amazingly raw, dirty, gritty, & real. Seemingly low key in some ways too. It’s interesting to think that this was the same year as Woodstock.
